Mary L. Fritz

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Monday, September 28, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family. Age 85 years. Mary Louise Findlay was born July 23, 1924 in Flint, Michigan to William and Laura (Eneix) Findlay. She married Leo J. Fritz on October 30, 1948. They shared 60 years together. He survives her. Mrs. Fritz retired from the Saginaw County Sheriff's Department, and had been awarded Female Officer of the Year. Surviving are four wonderful children: Melissa Ann (Tom) Pfander, Kathy Ann Gage, Jo-Ann Fritz, and William L. Fritz; seven grandchildren: Scott Pfander, Sarah (Chad) Lake, Jason (Kari) Gage, Ty A. (Jen) Gage, Todd, Katie, and Rachel Fritz; and seven great grandchildren: Cheyenne, Noah, and Arianna Gage; Leo and Sienna Lake; and Xander and Ryder Gage. The family wishes to thank Healthsource Hospice care givers, Michelle and Julie for their care and compassion. In keeping with Mary's wishes, cremation has taken place.
