BALL, Nickie James - of Saginaw, age 73 died Monday, February 5, 2018 at Covenant Healthcare. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, February 9, 2018 at Reitz-Herzberg Funeral Home. Pastor Rob Schmidt officiating. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home and from 10AM until time of service at 11AM on Friday. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation. Nickie was born December 1, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Samuel and Rose (Klemish) Ball. He resided all his life in Saginaw and graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1963. On July 23, 1973 he married Mary Lou Acker in Saginaw, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2002, he worked for AC Spark Plug for 25 years. He was a member of the UAW Local 598, NRA, and North American Hunt Club. Nickie enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Surviving are: Wife of 44 years Mary Lou; Children, David (Tammy) Ball, Angela (Wesley) Osmond, Mary (Tim) Meyer, Clifford Younk, Terry Gillespie, Diane Stewart; Grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason ) Sutton, Jason Meyer, Tara Bomba, Jeremy Meyer, Nicole Bomba, Jamie (Ryan) Milbrandt, Ryan Gillespie, Heather (William) Bradley, Brett Lyons, Blake Lyons, Brooke Lyons, James Ball, Cole Osmond, Zack Osmond, Alexia Osmond, Samuel Ball, Brianna Stewart, Brendan Stewart; 17 Great Grandchildren and 2 on the way; Sisters, Sally Stratz, Janet (Mike) Walters. He was preceded in death by a Son, Nickie J. Ball Jr. in 2002; Brother, Woodrow Ball in 2017.
