RENNERT, Patricia Gail - of Saginaw, age 82 died Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Meadow View Manor in Saginaw. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 2-5 and 6-8 PM at Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home and also at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of service at 11 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Peace Lutheran Church. Patricia was born March 3, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Alfred and Iris (Hill) Rennert. As a child, Patricia was a member of the Campfire Girls. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1953. She attended Bay City Junior College and went on to Central Michigan University to receive her teaching degree in 1957. Prior to her retirement in 1991, she taught school in Saginaw Township at Hemmeter Elementary School and finished her career at Arrowwood Elementary School after 33 years of faithful service. Patricia was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was an avid wood carver, loved to decorate and garden, and had impeccable taste. Patricia never met a stranger, as she loved people and was a great conversationalist. She also enjoyed reading, and trips in the fall to Amish Country. Patricia was very thoughtful of family and friends and never missed sending cards for birthdays and other occasions. She always liked running into her former students and catching up on their lives and hearing their stories. Surviving are: Aunt, Donna (John) Cooley, Cousins: Larry Hill, David (Viv) Cooley, Rick (Sherri) Cooley, Jan (Sonny) Whitney, Gary (Jackie) Martindale; Cousin-in-law: Ruthann Taylor and many loving friends.
