Paula Marie Smith, 61, of Essexville, our fun loving, generous and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Thursday, July 9, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. 1. Aunt Paula made the most AMAZINGLY delicious sticky buns. The recipe may still be around, but the love she put in them is what made them even better. She will be missed everyday. I love her very much and feel blessed she was my Godmama -Nina

  2. Paula and Tim took the boys senior pictuers and the whole time they were here Paula had me laughing so hard .And every time we talked she made me laugh. She will be missed.

  3. Mmmm…Sticky buns! At Easter time, Paula always baked up a pan of her famous sticky buns and delivered them to the famished dispatchers at Bay County 9-1-1 Central Dispatch! Such a treat that we were always grateful to receive! Paula and Tim took photos of the couples attending the Central Dispatch Christmas. The “Tender Lovin’ Photos” camera crew took the only “good” photos of my deceased husband and me. They both are framed and prominently displayed in my living room. I will treasure them always. The “Tims” will be bereft without her.

  4. Paula loved camping. She was able to camp twice this year. She was unable to have her campfire. Here is a bit of the virtual campfire. My wishes that you and your light up a campfire if you camp and toss a few nut shells into the your fire for her.

  5. I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Paula, she was a very nice lady, she will be missed by all who knew her.

  6. Dear Yvonne and family,
We are so sorry for the loss of your sister Paula. May God comfort you and all the family as only He can do. When someone you love becomes a memory, those memories become treasures that you will cherish forever. You all are in our thoughts and our prayers. God bless you all!
    Love,
Lorraine, Eric, Ingrid, Chris & Matt
    and all the Jurgensen “clan”

  7. My Mother loved her Angels. Her Angels were working overtime since the doctors wrote her off. They told me in High school she wouldn’t last 15 mins and that I needed to deal with the fact she was finished her race in this side of our life. I told the doctors that she would recalled to her fathers home only when and if God wanted her there.

  8. I remember the weddings, showers, etc. that Paula loved attending, catching up on family news and making everyone feel comfortable no matter how long it had been! Paula was a special person!
