Phillip Norman Sorberg

Phillip Norman Sorberg, 69, of Bay City, our devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend passed away on August 21, 2019 with his family by his side. Phil was born on October 4, 1949 in Southbend, Indiana, the son of Bennie and Phyllis (Holmes) Sorberg. Phil graduated from high school and went on to answer the call of his country, serving in the U.S. Army and retiring after 31 years of service. On August 21, 1993, Phil married the love of his life the former Laura McAllister, together they shared exactly 26 years of marriage. Those who knew Phil will forever remember his love of bowling and golfing. He will be missed dearly. Phil leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Laura; children, Phillip (Christina) Sorberg and Amanda (Joe) Holman; grandchildren, Avery and Maisie Sorberg; mother, Phyllis Sorberg; sister, Ellen Sorberg, along with several friends. Phil was welcomed home to heaven by his father, Bennie Sorberg, and his brother, Alan Sorberg. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
