Raymond Stanley Cianek, age 96 years, of Essexville, a loving, caring and faith-filled father and husband, was born into eternal life on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Ray passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his devoted family. The cherished son of Frank and Agnes Cianek, Ray was born January 22, 1917, in Detroit, MI. 1. Judy,Dan & Family,
We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family. My mother Myrtle (Walther) Van Tol often spoke of her cousin ,Ray Cianek and Flora as some of their best friends and cherished cousins. She would now be 98 but passed away 11 years ago. Judy, I know how devoted you were to your father and cared for him till the end and that is such a testimony to your love and faithfuless and I respect you so much for your effort. I pass your retail store many days during the week and would see your sign in the window and felt the pang in my heart for your situation. You are definitely a person I would say “worth knowing ” . Your father was a lucky man! You are a “good daughter” and although you will miss him terribly, know that you should have no regrets. Our sympathy to you and your family! God Bless! John & Rockie (Van Tol) Discher

  2. We are deeply saddened by the news of Ray’s passing. His charismatic personality touched our family in so many ways. May the memories of Ray help you find peace through the holidays and new year.
Sent with love an remembrance, Beth, Brett, and Lauren Cianek (Glanz).

  3. Ray was a GREAT man. Ron & I were only neighbors for a short 5 years but in that time we came to LOVE Ray & Flora with all our hearts. Ron & I have missed Flora for 17 years & now we will deeply miss Ray as well. What makes me happy knowing is that they are together again in heaven. Didn’t stop by too very often but always thought about him. I would stop in to Judy’s store every year & caught up on everything as I will again this year. I am so sorry. You will forever be in our hearts.

  4. The Cianek Family have been given a legacy of loving parents. These good-byes are a reminder to us all that our time here on earth is so fleeting and so precious….Your Father gave his best to this earth…..His Family…. and we have all benefited from his work! God Love You All……
    JIm and Rhea Thompson

  5. I just read about the passing of Ray. My deepest sympathy to the family that I loved! I will never forget the last time I saw Ray and family….in the Alcove…in honor of his service to our country! RIP my friend! Love Linda Lee
