Raymond Duch

Raymond William Duch, 88, of Essexville, our outgoing, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Friday, April 11, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region. Ray was born in Detroit on October 20, 1925, the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Tomasicwicz) Duch. He was united in marriage to the former Lucille Skutecki on June 24, 1950, who survives. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Ray attended Central Michigan University and was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Church. He dedicated his life to education, athletics and community service. Ray will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In addition to his loving wife of sixty-four years, Lucille, Ray is also survived by his children, Kathleen and husband, Gary Spencer, Thomas and wife, Terri Duch and Kelly Duch. He was the devoted and loving grandpa of Steven, Kelsey and Kyler. The Rite of Committal will be held privately at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp.
