Raymond Louis Corrion, 82, of Essexville, our loving, caring, generous, hardworking, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Friday, October 26, 2018 at home with his family by his side. Ray was born in Munger on August 14, 1936, the son of the late Edward and Margaret (Jacobs) Corrion. Ray graduated from St. Joseph High School and went on to become a lifelong farmer - a true passion of his. He also worked at DeFoe Ship Building. On September 10, 1955, Ray married the love of his life, the former Noreen Badour. Together they shared over 63 years of marriage, five children, and countless memories. Those who knew Ray, knew of his love of bowling, taking trips to the casino, and playing cards – especially Poker at Christmas with the grandchildren. He will be missed dearly, but lovingly remembered for generations to come. Ray leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Noreen; their five children, Donna (Richard) Samyn, Doreen (Richard) Nadolny, Shirley (Michael) Smith, Norman (Dina) Corrion, and Gerald (Melissa) Corrion. He was the fun and loving grandfather of Jeremy (Kortney) Samyn, Randall (Jessica) Samyn, Mary Beth (Justin) Bli, Travis (Samantha) Smith, Norman, Nicholas, Matthew (Ashley), and Sarah Corrion, Brady Corrion, and Janeyssa Ryczek; great-grandfather of Allie, Kelsie, Korben, and Karson Samyn, Jennie Bli, and Gwen Corrion. Ray is also survived by his siblings, Lorraine (Richard) McNally, Lois Englehardt, and Paul (Sue) Corrion; sisters-in-law, Ila Corrion and Mary Alice Corrion; brothers-in-law, Richard Kunkel and Charles Collins. In addition to his parents, Ray was welcomed home to heaven by his brothers, Joseph Corrion, William Corrion, and Robert Corrion; sisters, Elaine (Eugene) Jacobs, Patricia Kunkel, Jane Collins, and Janet Corrion, and brother-in-law, Richard Englehardt. Ray’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil for Ray at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, Ray will be taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine St., Essexville where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until Ray’s 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Rev. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with the Rite of Committal to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kim, Emma, and the entire Covenant Hospice team for their exceptional and compassionate care.
