Dick was born in Bay City on March 13, 1945, the son of the late Lawrence Covieo and Cecelia (Reiss) Covieo-Crane. Through his brother, Jim, Dick would go on to meet Beverly Jean Walraven. They dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on May 28, 1977. Their marriage of over thirty-four years was blessed with countless memories. Dick enjoyed camping on the Rifle River, crossword puzzles, spending time at the casinos, but most of all loved being with his grandchildren and dog, Slinky. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted children, Jennifer and husband, Jay Tomaszewski, Terry and wife, Renee Toureau, Steve Covieo and Chrys Cobley and her fiancé, Geoff Hoff. He was the loving papa of Hannah and Hayden Cobley, Jerekah and Jeneva Tomaszewski, Tyler Stanley and Victoria and Sawyer Toureau. My heart goes out to all of you at this time. Dick was a wonderful friend and neighbor in Auburn. I have many fond memories of fun times together in the Jaycees. Our prayers are with you, we know it is so hard to lose a loved one. I regret that I will not be able to attend Dick’s funeral service, my wife Jeanne is having surgery that morning
    Sincerely,
