At the age of 12 Chris underwent a liver transplant at the University of Michigan Hospital, he was a 27-year liver transplant survivor. Chris did not let his medical problems stop him; he was a cub scout at Verellen Elementary in Essexville and later graduated from Garber High School in Essexville in 1995. Chris was an avid U of M fan, enjoyed woodworking, and enjoyed taking his beloved dog, Amanda, on long walks. Chris leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved parents Beth (Bob) Jarve and Joseph (Mari Haywood) Naumes; siblings, Dr. Patrick O’Connor (Dr. Nancy Stevens), Dr. Robert K.
