Rosemary Ann Palmer, 81, of Bay City, our gentle, kind, and loving mother, Mimi, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Rosemary was born in Munger on February 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Frank and Sophia (Respondeck) Ratajczak. At the age of sixteen, Rosemary was introduced to James J. Palmer through mutual friends. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on January 9, 1954. Rosemary was a 1953 graduate of St. James High School and enjoyed attending the class reunions. She had an interest in science and history, was an avid reader, and cherished her time spent at the library. Rosemary was also one of the biggest fans of the Detroit Tigers. The light of her life was most certainly her family. A devoted wife, mother, and excellent homemaker, Rosemary will forever be remembered as an excellent secret keeper. She was a friend to all, loved everyone as they were, and in return she was loved deeply and will be forever missed. Rosemary loved her four children with all of her heart. Annette (Daniel) Nowicki, Jeanette (Lyle) Esterhai, Carolyn (Kevin) Urban, and David Palmer are left to continue her legacy. She was the proud and loving Mimi of Michael Nowicki, MaryAlison Nowicki, Melissa (David) Burton, Lyle (Lindsay) Esterhai, Ashley (Max) Dardas, and Shauna Urban. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, her friends at cardiac rehab, and her beloved friend and bird, Clark. In addition to her parents, Rosemary was welcomed home to heaven by her husband, James J. Palmer, who preceded her on June 13, 2015; two sisters, Dorothy Bedell and Monica Donakowski, and many in-laws. Rosemary's family will be present to receive visitors on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a 7:00 PM Vigil for Rosemary at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Monday, May 16, 2016, Rosemary will be taken to All Saints Parish (St. James Church), 710 Columbus Ave., Bay City, where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until her 11:00 AM Funeral Liturgy.
