Ruby Lee Braley

August 3, 2019
Ruby Lee (Spiker) Braley, 77, of Munger, our adventurous, humorous, and strong-willed sister, aunt, and caring friend was born into eternal life on August 3, 2019 at her residence. Ruby was born in Bay County, Michigan on November 17, 1941, the daughter of the late George and Dora (Diamond) Spiker. Ruby was a graduate of Bay City Central, Class of 1959. She was employed at Meijer in Midland and enjoyed traveling and birdwatching. Ruby will forever be remembered for hosting family get-togethers, centered around The Munger Potato Festival. Ruby’s many hobbies included painting, gardening, playing cards, and going to the casino. Her tender heart made her a natural animal lover; she will be deeply missed for years to come. Ruby leaves to carry on her legacy, her sister, Shirley Huskins; three step-children and their families, along with many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by brothers, Donald (Gladys) Spiker, Earl (Grace) Spiker; sister, Myrtle (LaVern) Bill, and brother-in-law, Richard Huskins. Ruby’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday, August 9, from 9:30 AM until the time of her 10:30 AM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. Harold Kuehnemund will officiate with a luncheon to follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski’s. The Rite of Committal will follow lunch in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of Bay County. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
