Ruth Ann Fritz, 68, of Essexville, our selfless, loving, caring, and most generous wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Ruth was born in Unionville on May 16, 1949, the daughter of the late Nester and Ruth A. (Russell) Rodriguez. When Ruth was buying eggs from the neighbor, she happened to meet a man by the name of Ronald A. Fritz, who survives. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on June 8, 1970. Ruth was the glue that held the family together, loved everyone, and was a wonderful peacemaker. A true servant of the Lord, Ruth was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching movies, walks, loved to sew and cook, antiquing, collected angels, dolls, and Indian themed knickknacks, and most of all, shopping with her grandkids, who were the light of her life. Ruth accomplished a long, loving marriage and raised five beautiful children to carry on her legacy: Rhonda Fritz, Jeannie Bovee, Amy (Jacob) Zachrich, and James Fritz. Ruth was the unconditional loving grandma of David, Logan, Katlynn, Alexis, Bryon, Gage, Madelynn, Rollen, Rebekah, Stephen, Kaia, Emma, James, and Amber. She will forever be missed by her siblings, Linda (James) Avery, Carol DeMartin, Richard (Kim) Rodriguez, Debbie (Andy) Stupka; in-laws, Larry Fritz, Edwin Fritz, Adeline Goik, Vernie (Darryl) Heckroth, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruth was welcomed home to heaven by her son, Ronald A. Fritz, Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Alfred F. and Verna A. Fritz; brother-in-law, Wayne Goik, and sister-in-law, Betty Fritz. Ruth’s family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On, Thursday, January 25, 2018, Ruth will be taken to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 1010 33rd St., Bay City, where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until Ruth’s 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony. Rev. Richard Starr will officiate with interment to be held privately in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Ev. Lutheran.
