March 23, 1935 ~ June 24, 2016
Sally Ann Fierens, 81, of Essexville, our witty, loving, and most kind hearted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on Friday, June 24, 2016 at her home. Sally was born in Bay City on March 23, 1935, the daughter of the late Stanley and Irene (Buechler) Johnson. Sally was a graduate of the Class of 1953 from Bay City Central. While in high school, she met the future love of her life, Richard “Dick” Fierens. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on April 30, 1955. Sally worked as an executive secretary with the Bay City Public School District for over thirty years. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie #1010 Ladies Auxiliary, where she enjoyed the bus trips. Sally enjoyed traveling, spending time at the cabin in Atlanta, and occasionally stopping by the casino. Sally will forever be remembered for her smart and loving personality. She was a friend to all who knew her. Lynn and family,
My thoughts, love and prayers are with each of you. Your mm was always the “cool mom” allowing us to play those records real loud and dance in the kitchen. Her smile was always present and she welcomed all of us into your home. May God wrap his arms around you and help you through this difficult time.
Love,
Deb (Switala) Rosebush
