  2. To Sue Westerby and Family,

I have known Sue and Steve for approximately 18 yrs. For part of that time we lived on the same street and our girls are still best friends. Sue and Steve have shown me the true meaning of friendship. The first time I met Shirley I thought to myself how much they were alike. Giving, loving, humorous and full of life. Yes, Shirley was full of life and treasured every moment. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You could see it in her eyes, smile and loving hugs. She was so selfless as was the whole family that she raised, for the most part on her own. So what did Shirley leave behind, right now a grieving husband, family and friends. More importantly she left behind the legacy of what it means to give, love, laugh and that legacy will become as it has already, a chain of caring individuals that will continue to grow with each and every birth. This is a wonderful thing. The reality of losing a loved one is extremely difficult for the ones left behind. Make no mistake that she is looking on, understanding the whole time with much pride in knowing the sadness will ease. You see, Shirley did not have the easiest life but what she did do is make the best of what she did have and with the family she has that was not a difficult task. The children kept her young at heart and that is why she wanted to fight to keep that going but it was her time to rest. In Heaven that is what she can do without suffering, without pain and without being afraid. The heavenly father has greeted her with his opening arms and you will when it is your time to again enjoy her loving, open arms. Shirley is at peace and those left her on earth will each grieve in their own time and way. You are all individuals as was she. That is another blessing she passed on and so all of those memories can be cherished, spoken about and laughed about in do time. In the meanwhile talk to her, cry to her, ask her advice because that is what she wants and she will give you signs that she is listening with a sense of calmness in her loving, precious soul.
So Live Life to the Fullest, Treasure what you have and don’t break the chain of all of the wonderful things she gave you to pass on….For her body is gone but her loving soul will always live on.
There may be difficult days ahead and that is what family and friends are here for you. Just ask and you shall receive.

God Bless and Love To All !!!!!!
