Suzanne K. Buffington

BUFFINGTON, Suzanne K. (Rivard) - died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Monroe, MI. She was 65 years of age. Suzanne was born February 16, 1951 in Saginaw to John and Georgia (Benson) Rivard. She was a resident of South Carolina the past 20 years recently moving to Monroe, MI. She worked as a caregiver in the home medical field. Suzanne enjoyed gardening, flowers, plants and decorating. She loved her dogs. Surviving are: Daughter, Tracy Boudrie (husband, Abdulhakem Alsadah), Grandchildren: Jessica and Andrew Boudrie, all of Monroe, MI; Mother, Georgia Rivard of SC; Siblings: Barbara (Bill) Bastedo of SC, Jackie (Norbert) Ahrens of OH, John (Brenda) Rivard of SC, James (Pam) Rivard of SC; Brother-in-law, Walt Schmidtman of St. Johns; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: Husband, Ken Buffington in 2010; Sisters: Debra Rivard in 1961, and Carole Schmidtman in 2011. Cremation has taken place. Graveside prayers will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery in Saginaw. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the American Red Cross in her memory.
