Passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at his home at the age of 82 years. Theodore James Brown was born February 17, 1932 in Saginaw to the late Stuart James and Violet Evelyn (Sommer) Brown. He married Kay Smith August 15, 1953. They shared 51 years together before her death on February 19, 2005. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Faith Ev. Lutheran Church. Jim retired in 1990 from the City of Saginaw, where he was employed in the traffic engineering department since 1950. Surviving are two sons: Steven Brown and Brock (Roxanne) Brown; two grandsons: Joshua and Thomas Brown; his special companion Margaret Mohler; a half-sister Jamie Redburn; a half-brother Timothy Brown; and other loving family members and friends. The family extends a sincere Thank You to Heartland Hospice for their care and comfort during Jim's illness. Rev. Michael Hahn will officiate the funeral service at 11AM Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Road. Entombment with military honors will take place at Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends are welcome to gather with the family at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S. M-47) on Tuesday, December 9 from 2pm - 4pm and 6pm - 8pm, and at the church on Wednesday one hour before the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Faith Ev.
