Vern M. Frost

Passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011. Age 79 years. Vern Marvin Frost was born February 12, 1932 in Freeland to the late Alvin and Augusta (Fehn) Frost. He married Ilene Berger August 16, 1955 and they shared 55 years together. She survives him. Vern served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling.Surviving besides his wife are two daughters and one son, Gail Frost and her daughter, Shannon Higgins, Terri Neuenfeldt, and Marvin (Tammy) Frost and their children, Koty and Brooke, his great grandson Kolton, his 92-year old sister Ruth Archer, and many other loving family members and friends. Vern was predeceased by his twin sister Verna, his sister Eleanor, and two brothers Robert and Allen.Funeral Service will take place 11 AM Wednesday May 18, 2011 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (South M-47). Rev. Robert Richards will officiate with interment to follow at Richland Township Cemetery. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-4 and 5-8 PM. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home for the charity of your choice.
