Walter F. Cabala

walter cabala
Walter F. Cabala, Jr., 81, of Hampton Township, our gentle and quiet husband, father, grandpa was born into eternal life on the morning of Sunday, April 12, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Walter was born in Munger on November 19, 1933 to the late Walter and Mary (Moncman) Cabala, Sr. He proudly served his country in the Air Force. On September 22, 1956 Walter was united in marriage to the love of his life, Mary Froncek at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. She survives him. Walter retired from General Motors after 35 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, Walter was an avid pool player. He loved Tiger baseball and watching NFL football on Sunday afternoons. He also enjoyed hunting, gardening and in his younger years, camping; but his greatest love was his family. Walter leaves to cherish his memory his wife of nearly 59 years, Mary. He was the thoughtful father of Greg Cabala, Brenda and husband, Bob Puddy, and Chris Cabala and loving grandfather to, Katie and Danny Cabala. Walter is also survived by his siblings, Victoria Niemec, Edward and wife, Sandy Cabala, Anne and husband, Buck LaVasseur, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Peter and Paul; sister, Theresa and husband, Walt Jankowiak; brother, Mitchell and wife Janet Cabala; daughter-in-law, Anne Cabala; son-in-law, Rodger Benton; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. 1. My deepest sympathies to Aunt Mary, Greg, Brenda & Chris. Uncle Walt was such a kind man! I have many fond memories of Uncle Walt during the holidays and the camping days! God Bless all of you.
    Gretchen & Scott & family

  2. My thoughts and prayers to my sister-in-law Mary, niece Brenda and nephews Chris, and Greg. I don’t have a favorite memory, but too many to tell you about. All the time I was growing up, he was a very loving big brother and watched over me. He was soft spoken, kind and considerate. I’m sorry Buck and I couldn’t be there. God Bless!!
