Warren David Kuhl Sr., 94, of Clio, our outdoorsy, humorous, and helpful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center. Warren was born on May 10, 1929 in Bay Port, Michigan, the son of th late Frederick and Lillian (Dilsworth) Kuhl.

In his early days, Warren met the love of his life, Shirley Boegert, at a USO dance. Their connection was undeniable, and they tied the knot on December 30, 1951, embarking on a journey of love and companionship that lasted over seven decades. Their bond was a shining example of devotion and commitment.

Warren proudly served his country during the Korean War, honorably serving in both the United States Army and Marines. His unwavering dedication to his fellow servicemen and his nation earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Warren’s life was characterized by a love for adventure and the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and boating, where he found solace and joy in nature’s embrace. His passion for these activities brought him closer to his family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.

Professionally, Warren excelled in the skilled trades within the auto industry, working diligently for General Motors. His expertise and work ethic shone brightly throughout his career, bringing him a sense of fulfillment and leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues.

Warren is survived by his loving daughter, Cherie M. Martin; sons, W. David Jr. (Susanne), Steven E. (Linda), and Todd M. Kuhl; 10 grandchildren; 13, great-grandchildren; his brother and sister and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and 8 siblings. Warren’s kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering support will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
