William "Bill" Neering

William “Bill” Roger Neering, 61, of Hampton Twp., passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, September 14, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born in Bay City on April 8, 1953, the son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Charleboise) Neering. Bill was the previous owner of State Lunch and worked at Dollar Daze. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Even throughout his illness, Bill’s wonderful sense of humor always remained. He was always quick with a joke, and his strong will and determination will never be forgotten. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Eric and wife, Jane Neering; grandchildren, Noel, Shavon, Hope and Alyson Neering; siblings, Don and wife, Janet Neering, Dianne Stalinski, George Neering and Shirley and husband, Tim Majchrzak, along with his dear friend and caregiver, Bonnie Weiss. In addition to his parents, Bill was welcomed home to heaven by his sister, Barb Adams. Bill’s family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the time of his 1:00 PM Celebration of Life at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Rev. Mike Prince will officiate with interment to follow in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Bill may be directed to the wishes of the family. So sorry for your loss. Bill was a great guy and he fought a long battle. He will be greatly missed
I may never have gotten along with my dad, but he is still my dad, my heart is hurting with not getting the chance to say my final goodbye or to make a mends with him. I just hope he thought about me, being his only child.
