William Bloniarczyk

William Bloniarczyk, 90, of Swan Creek Twp., our devoted and hardworking father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Union Court in St. Charles. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering strength.
Bill was born in Saginaw on April 5, 1933, son of the late, Andrew and Margaret (Scalny) Bloniarczyk. He graduated from St. Charles High School. After high school, Bill helped out on the family farm and worked at Saginaw Malleable Iron until he received the call from the United States Army to serve his country during the Korean War.
When he returned home after his military service, Bill attended the Radio Electronic Television School and became a small business owner repairing televisions. Later, he embarked on a long and successful career at General Motors – Delco Chassis, where he worked as a pipefitter for an impressive 44 years. His expertise and dedication were highly regarded within the company. During his time at General Motors, he also owned and operated State Wide Installer, where he and his sons jointly worked on repairing gas stations.
While out with friends at The Golden Glow Ballroom, he met the former Jean Kohn; he swept her off her feet, fell in love, and the two were married on March 3, 1956. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage sharing countless memories and creating a home of love and warmth. Sadly, Vera passed away February 23, 2021.
Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time at their family cottage on Lake George. His memory will forever live on.
Bill leaves to carry on his legacy, his children: Roger Bloniarczyk and Jim Bloniarczyk; grandsons, Kevin and Nathan Bloniarczyk; and sister-in-law, Vi Bloniarczyk. In addition to his wife and parents, Bill was welcomed home by his siblings, Frank (Gertrude) Bloniarczyk, Sophie (Henry) Nerchal, Stella (Delber) Dague, Irene (Marty) Kern, Robert Bloniarczyk, Walter (Jean) Bloniarczyk, and Leonard Bloniarczyk; in-laws, Robert Kohn and Albert Kohn, and his daughter-in-law, Julie Bloniarczyk.
Bill’s family will be present to receive visitors on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and again on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM until his 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1550 Midland Rd., between State & Gratiot. A reception will follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski’s and entombment will be held at Roselawn Mausoleum in Saginaw.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Union Court Assisted Living Staff and for Compassus Hospice for their outstanding compassionate care and support.
