William McKinley Young, Jr., 66, of Bay City, our compassionate, understanding, and most altruistic father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Thursday, September 29, 2016 at his home. Bill was born in Gladwin on February 4, 1950, the son of the late William McKinley Young, Sr. and Irene (Seynak) Young. He attended T.L. Handy High School and was known for his strong work ethic, tireless drive and was always putting others before himself. Regardless of the circumstances, Bill always maintained his sense of humor. Bill was the dedicated owner of Hooligan's and the former owner of Washington Place. He enjoyed custom drilling bowling balls at Pro Shops for both Washington Place and Eastland Lanes. Bill loved to golf, hunt, and was known for his wonderful chicken noodle soup. Bill enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and was a passionate bowler, having attained thirteen 300 games. He was a member of the Bay City Bowling Hall of Fame, USBC, NRA, and the ASPCA. Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Lisa (Lance) Lingscheit; grandchildren, Nick Daugherty (Rachel Dodd), Shannon Goyett, Jessica Lingscheit, and Mallory Lingscheit; and great granddaughter Kali Daugherty. He will forever be missed, but lovingly remembered by his sisters, Cheryl (Jim) Woods, Bonnie Hanover, Christina Thorne; dear friends, Kenny Joswiak and Kenny Gwizdala, along with many nieces, nephews and countless friends whose lives he touched. In addition to his parents, Bill was welcomed home to heaven by his two brothers, James and Victor Young. Bill's family will be present to receive visitors on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, October 3, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the time of his 10:00 AM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the ASPCA or the wishes of the family. Bill was a great man…boss…friend…my brother Mike Maldonado started out as a pin chaser… I work the counter and our cousin Mona worked the grill…those were the good ole days… when I hear the thunder I will know what you’re p to…God Bless you Bill..you’ve earned your wings…Cheers to that black russian while I have a white one…We also send sincerest sympathies to the family @ this most difficult time…We are so sorry for your loss.

  11. Bill played on the Munger Muffers golf league when I met him. Nice person and just a few weeks ago grilled our steaks for us like he did for years. Rest in Peace Bill.
