October 4, 1945 - December 19, 2021
Ambrose Joseph Owczarzak, Jr., 76, of Bay City, our devoted, hardworking, and sometimes stubborn husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at his home. Ambrose, affectionately known by many as “Junior” in his younger years, was born in Bay City on October 4, 1945, the son of the late Ambrose Joseph Owczarzak, Sr., and the former Marie Helen Kern. He was a 1963 graduate of St. Stanislaus Kostka High School. While in high school, he met the former Mary Jane Lobodzinski. After persistently pursuing Mary Jane they eventually dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on October 15, 1966, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Always a hardworking man, Ambrose was the former proprietor of The Meat Gallery (now Meats & Mooore) and Ole Tyme Broadway Restaurant since 1989. A self-taught remodeler extraordinaire, Ambrose enjoyed construction and renovating, completing many over-the-top projects. Always ready to try something new and never using a recipe, he was known for his many famous soups. Instilling a strong work ethic in his family, his legacy will live on for years to come. Ambrose leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Mary Owczarzak; three sons, Jeffrey (Heidi) Owczarzak, Marc (Laura) Owczarzak, and Craig Owczarzak; grandchildren, Hallie, Andrew, Malorie (fiancé, Bret), Riley, Morgan, Chloe, Samuel, and Stella; sister, Barbara Krzyzaniak; sisters-in-law, Patricia Owczarzak and Margaret (Robbie) Dryzga; step-sister, Camille (Bob) Dodick; step-brother, Gene (Marcene) Andrzejewski, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ambrose was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Owczarzak, and brother-in-law, Tom Krzyzaniak.
