Barbara Catherine Spresny

September 10, 1958 - March 9, 2022

Barbara "Barb" Catherine (Salois) Spresny, 63, of Bay City, our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (GG), sister, aunt and friend, laid her head down and gently went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 while wintering with her sisters and brother-in-law in Baja California, Mexico. Barb was born to the late William and Helen (Sullivan) Salois on September 10, 1958 in Bay City. She graduated with the class of 1976 from John Glenn High School. Barb was united in marriage on June 11, 1977 in Bay City to Ronald Spresny. She worked over 40 years as a bartender and waitress, starting her long career at Bay Lanes and ending in retirement from Bay City Yacht Club. Barb was a mother to all and was the glue to the family. She loved her family dearly. In her free time, she enjoyed BINGO, the sun, camping, traveling, the beach, and she was a talented seamstress. To continue her legacy, Barb leaves her children, Stacey and Zachary Spresny-Bukowski and Keith and Samantha Hilligas Spresny; grandchildren, Aliah Giddings, Austin Charlebois, Buddy Giddings, Brenden Spresny, Peyton Spresny, Kaitlyn Spresny, Ethan Spresny and Benjamin Bukowski; great-grandson, and the Apple of her eye, Justin James "JJ" Giddings; siblings, Nancy Salois, Mary Beth (Salois) and John Bissonette, James Salois and Kenneth and Alicia Salois; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Leda, Billy, Cody, Ashley and Jimmy, and many more extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Spresny. Barb's family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 12:00 PM until Barb's 4:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Pastor Joe Atchinson will preside. Per Barb's wishes, cremation has taken place. To honor the memory of Barb, the family asks you to wear your flip-flops to her Life Celebration and bring your favorite chocolate candy bar. A potluck for family and friends will be held at Starlite Event Center, 1517 N. Henry St. (Old Moose lodge next to the Army Reserve) following the service.
