Bernard Pudvan, Jr., 86, of Bay City, our hardworking and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on October 7, 2020 with his family by his side. Bernard was born on June 14, 1934 in Bay City, the son of the late Bernard L. Pudvan, Sr. and Eva (Arnot) Slazinski. He went on to answer the call of his country, serving in the U.S. Air Force. On May 23, 1952, Bernard married the love of his life, the former, Joanne LaPan. Together they shared 45 years, eight wonderful children, and countless memories; sadly, Joanne passed away on December 21, 1997. Bernard worked as a Millwright at General Motors where he retired from. Throughout life, he enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Bernard will be missed dearly and lovingly remembered for years to come. Bernard leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jimmy Pudvan of Gladwin, Rickey (Lori) Pudvan of Bay City, Karen (Patrick) Ricard of Bay City, Janeen (Barney) Prime of Bay City, Peggy (Greg) Kimbrue of Bay City, Ronald (Pam) Pudvan of Auburn, and Randy (Pam) Pudvan of Leslie; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine (Mike) Rex; special friend and companion, Darla Morrisette; his beloved fur baby, Charlie, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Bernard was welcomed home to heaven by his daughter, Cindy Milazzo; grandson, Kyle James Stanley; father, Bernard L. Pudvan, Sr.; mother and step-father, Eva and Corky Slazinski; sisters, Marge (Don) Wark, Betty (Bill) Starrett, and Sally (Rich) Reder. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Covenant Hospice, especially Bree, Neema, and Michael. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Bernard will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery, Kawkawlin.
