Catherine E. Ferrer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Catherine E. Ferrer, 84, of Bay City, our faithful and beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital. Cathy was born on December 12, 1937 in Hampton Twp., the daughter of the late Leo and Jane (Tahash) Spegel. She graduated from St. John Catholic High School. Cathy and Ben Ferrer were united in marriage on April 25, 1970 in Bay City. She worked for Wolverine Knitting Mills as a machine operator for 34 years before her retirement. Cathy was a devoted and faithful Catholic and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She enjoyed time with her husband, Ben, going camping, walking, traveling and going up north. Cathy leaves to carry on her legacy, her loving husband of 52 years, Ben Ferrer; three sisters, Betty Gellise, Mary Coradill, and Judy (Jerry) Ferrer, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia (Charles) Longhin, Margaret (John) Leppek, Marsha (Dermont) Kennedy, and Carolann Spegel, and brothers-in-law, Norm Gellise and Albert Coradill. The Rite of Committal will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at St. Patrick Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N.
