Douglas James Tacey

July 11, 1951 - April 10, 2022

Douglas James Tacey, 70, of Hampton Twp., our jokester and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and loyal friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Sunday, April 10, 2022 at ProMedica Hospice. Doug was born in Bay City on July 11, 1951 to the late Bernard and Elaine (Siminski) Tacey. He graduated from Garber High School in 1970. While out with friends one evening, Doug met Delores Reinhardt. They dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on November 11, 1978. Doug was employed at General Motors - Grey Iron Foundry, which is now General Motors - Powertrain Saginaw, as a general laborer. He retired in 2005 after 41 and a half years of dedicated service and hard work. Doug enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved riding his Harley and going on trips with Dee. He enjoyed the occasional Budweiser and time spent with family and friends. Family was important to Doug and his life will live on for many years to come. To carry on his legacy, Doug leaves his wife of 43 years, Delores Tacey; his children, Troy Tacey and Trisha Tacey, and his grandchildren, Nolan and Nigel. Doug loved those boys unconditionally; they were the lights of his life. Doug also leaves his brothers, Chris Tacey, Dan (Trudy) Tacey, Steve (Linda) Tacey, and Henry Tacey; his sister-in-law, Carol Tacey, and his brothers-in-law, Dave (Patti) Reinhardt, Karl (Jan) Reinhardt, and Ken (Nancy) Reinhardt. In addition to his parents, Doug was welcomed home to Heaven by his brother, Lenny Tacey, and his sister, Rosemary (Fred) Honeycutt. Doug's family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 9:00 AM until his 11:00 AM Memorial Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N.
