Jean Ann Tober

Jean Ann (Curtis) Tober, 68, of Bay City, our most caring, loving and compassionate wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and loyal animal lover passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Jean was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to Irvin and Sarah (Pryor) Curtis on February 22, 1953. She grew up in Freeland, Michigan. Following high school, she received her LPN from Midland Hospital’s Nursing Program. While out on an ambulance run, she met a handsome driver by the name of Robert Tober. They were united in marriage on May 16, 1980, in Bay City, Michigan. She took care of many patients during her time as a nurse. Jean always had an extreme love of animals, but especially cats. Her and Robert raised many cats, all adopted or strays and loved them all dearly. Jean enjoyed crafting and watching cooking shows. She was an avid NASCAR and Detroit Tigers fan. She loved admiring nature and all wildlife. Left to carry on Jean’s legacy is her beloved husband Robert; mother, Sarah Urbiha; siblings, Frank Urbiha, Rita (Dan) Rydman, Gail Nethers, Becky (Mike) Smith, Vicki Love, Robert (Theresa) Dell, Gary (Anette) Dell, Sue Dell, and Jeff Dell; brother-in-law, Tim Tober; sister-in-law, Sue Smith; and many nieces and nephews and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her father, Irvin Curtis; brother, Scott Urbiha and step-father, Frank Urbiha and step-mother, Joann Curtis. Jean's family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 4:00 PM until Jean's 7:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N.
