Jean Kay Falce

Jean Kay Falce, 82, of Bay City, our compassionate and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region. Jean was born in Bay City on February 6, 1938, the daughter of the late Raymond and Irene (Fogelsonger) Short. She was a 1956 graduate of Bay City Central High School. While at an engagement party, Jean met Leonard Falce. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on March 25, 1961. After 56 years of marriage, Leonard preceded Jean on January 23, 2018. Known for her wonderful dishes and desserts, Jean enjoyed cooking and baking. Most of all, Jean's true joy was her family. She was a dedicated homemaker, a true animal lover, and a loving and proud mother and grandmother. Occasionally outspoken at times, Jean's kind and loving ways will forever live on. She leaves to carry on her legacy, her two daughters, Julie Sickles and Maria Falce; grandchildren, Sofia Fowler, Lauren (Scott) Bartlett, Nicolas Sickles, and Casee Falce; great-grandchildren, Zaira Sickles and Audrina Quast; brother, John Short; sisters-in-law, Jean, Marcy, and Carol Short, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Leonard, Jean was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond Jr., Gary, and Robert Short.
