Jeffrey James DeShano

March 19, 1986 - September 1, 2020

Jeffrey James DeShano, 34, of Essexville, our free-spirited, expressive, fun-loving, and most kindhearted son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend was born into eternal life unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Jeffrey was born in Bay City on March 19, 1986, the son of the late Randy DeShano, Sr., and the former Linda Auger. Jeffrey’s hobbies included working out, music, and spending time enjoying the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and more recently, kayaking. The life of the party, Jeffrey was known for his loving, fun nature, and larger-than-life personality. He will forever be remembered for his unwavering Catholic faith and love of the Lord. Above all, Jeffrey loved his family with all his heart and soul. Jeffrey leaves to carry on his legacy; his mother, Linda May and his brothers, Randy DeShano, Jr., Chad DeShano, and Shane (Averi) Gibas. Jeffrey was the most loving and supportive uncle of Alex DeShano, who was the light of his life. Also surviving are his grandparents, James DeShano and Elsie Bennett; aunts and uncles, James Auger, Maureen (Colin) Bohlinger, Mark Auger, Kenneth (Debbie) DeShano, Cathy (Tony) Johnson, Rhonda (Dan) Roth, Brian (DeAun) DeShano; many additional aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, along with Jeffrey’s beloved dogs, Tanner and Sis, and the many family cats. In addition to his father, Jeffrey was welcomed home to heaven by his grandparents, Virgil Sr. and Mabel Auger and Don Bennett, and his uncle, Virgil Auger, Jr. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate a private family funeral. Jeffrey’s family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Cremation will follow with the Rite of Committal to be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
