Judy Ann Falk

July 14, 1939 - September 5, 2020

Judy Ann Falk (Duffey), 81 of Saginaw, our loving, strong-willed, and humorous mother, nana, sister, aunt, and friend went Home to be with the Lord on the morning of September 5, 2020, with her family by her side. Judy was born in Jackson, Michigan on July 14, 1939, the daughter of Robert Duffy and the former Helen Pennow. She was a graduate of Jackson High School and went on to work as a switchboard operator at Foote Hospital in Jackson. Through mutual connections, Judy met Dale Falk. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on April 25, 1970. After 44 years of faithful marriage, Dale preceded Judy in death on December 18, 2014. A devout Catholic, Judy was known for her unwavering faith and trust in the Lord. Judy brought hope and inspiration to all those she encountered. Her greatest accomplishments in life included being a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. Her hobbies included crocheting, crafting, a visit to the casino, and spending time with her family. She spent many years involved in the daily lives of her grandchildren, teaching them the important lessons of life and showering them with love in forms of peanut butter balls, popcorn & pop parties, and participating in their many activities. Judy and Dale enjoyed their retirement years together with joyous trips to the casino, enjoying the slot machines, nice dinners, and the time together. Their home always smelled of baked goods and hearty meals. Her legacy of "A promise is a promise" will live on for generations to come. Judy leaves behind her two daughters, Julie (Daniel) Gauvreau and Rondie Falk (Kurt Beardslee). She was the most loving and supportive Nana of Ashley (Sebastiaan) de Kok, SGT. Matthew Welch, and Chesea (Justin) Cascaddan. Judy was also survived by her mother, Helen DeVolder, who went on to pass the following day; she also leaves her beloved great-granddaughter, Chloé Isabella de Kok; sister, Nancy Ingram, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Judy was welcomed home to heaven by her father, Robert Duffy. The Rite of Committal will be held privately in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (formerly Reitz-Herzberg), 1550 Midland Rd., between State & Gratiot. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to St. Mary’s Neuro Progressive Team and Compassus Hospice, along with Dr. Patrick Botz and his dedicated and caring team. Their love and care of Judy was such a comfort during this difficult time. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
