Leonard Bloniarczyk

Leonard Bloniarczyk, 95, our hard-working brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Leonard was born on October 31, 1925 in Saginaw to Andrew and Margaret (Scalny) Bloniarczyk. He proudly served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Afterwards, he attended and graduated from Michigan State University with his degree in engineering. Leonard worked as an engineer with Dow Chemical, Chrysler, and several construction companies. Outside of work, Leonard was an avid bowler and won several awards. He also enjoyed watching sports and tending to his garden and fruit trees. Leonard is survived by his brother William (Vera Jean) Bloniarczyk and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Frank Bloniarczyk, Walter Bloniarczyk, and Robert Bloniarczyk; and sisters Irene Kern, Sophie Nerchal, and Stella Dauge. Visiting for Leonard will be on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Skorupski Family Funeral Home, 1550 Midland Rd, Saginaw. Rite of Committal to follow at St. Andrew’s Mausoleum in Saginaw. Arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services (formerly Reitz-Herzberg), 1550 Midland Rd., between State & Gratiot.
