Lester Camille Hoffman

October 7, 1943 - March 7, 2022

Lester Camille Hoffman, 78, of Bay City, formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana our beloved and humorous husband, daddy, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on the morning of Monday, March 7, 2022. Lester was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 7, 1943, the son of the late George and Frances (Farace) Hoffman. A true patriot, Lester proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Merchant Marine. On November 10, 1984, Lester was united in marriage to Linda L. Valencia in Bay City. He retired in 2006 from Seafarers International Union, as a Merchant Seaman. Lester loved being on the ocean and out to sea. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come. To carry on his legacy, Lester leaves his wife, Linda and daughter, Charlotte (Thomas Rosenbrock) Schmidt; sisters, Mary Ann (Sherman) Jones, Frances Marie (Barry) Gangolf; mother-in-law, Emeline Valencia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard (Judy) Valencia, Darla Schroeder, Mary Alice Valencia, Lisa Valencia, Anthony Valencia; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Lester was preceded in death by his sister, Joan (Manuel) Alphonse; father-in-law, Lorenzo Valencia; and brother-in-law, Lorenzo W. Valencia. Lester's family will be present for a life celebration on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Amvets Post 22, 520 N Pine Rd, Bay City. Military Honors will take place at 3:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center.
