Lisa Mae Kennedy, 60, of Bay City, our kind-hearted, generous and funny sister, aunt, and friend, was born into eternal life on the morning of Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region. Lisa was born to the late Robert W. and Gertrude (Dodge) Kennedy on August 24, 1961 in Bay City. She graduated from T.L. Handy High School, class of 1979. Lisa graduated from Delta College with an associate's degree. She worked for many years as a teller and mortgage lender with the former Chemical Bank. She was a member of the Thoburn United Methodist Church. Lisa was an avid animal lover and supporter. She volunteered with Katy Bishop Animal Friends, fostering and adopting many dogs and cats along the way. Lisa enjoyed the Bay City Players, community events, theaters, shows and watching the Great Lakes Loons. Lisa leaves to carry on her legacy her siblings, Alan (Terri) Kennedy and Judy (Tom) Ross; 4 nieces, Melissa (Ron) Withers, Sara (Keri) Kennedy, Karen (Joshua) Barnes, and Meghan (Nathan) Erinjeri; 3 nephews, Scott (Rachel) Kennedy, Kiel Kennedy, and Ryan (Susan) Ross; sister-in-law, Jan Kennedy, and several cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, Robert C. Kennedy, and nephew, Don Kennedy. Lisa's family would like to extend a special thank you to Becky Scott for her help and care for Lisa and family. Lisa's family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, March 31, 2022, from 1:00 PM until Lisa's 3:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Pastor Joe Atchinson will preside. Per Lisa's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private interment will take place in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Bay City.
