Mary Ellen Bibbee

December 15, 1949 - January 1, 2022

Mary Ellen Bibbee, 72, of Bay City, our caring, respected and beloved wife, sister, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Brian's House in Hampton Township. Mary Ellen was born in Bay City on December 15, 1949, the daughter of the late Arthur and Madeline (Satkowiak) Przybylski. She was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Kostka High School, class of 1968. Mary Ellen went on to obtain her bachelor's degree from Saginaw Valley State University. She worked as a probation officer for 32 years at the Bay County 74th District Court before her retirement. Mary Ellen and Andy Bibbee were united in marriage on July 25, 1975, in Saginaw. She received the Kathy R. Bishop Humanitarian of the year award from the Humane Society of Bay County in 1995 and she was the first non-attorney to receive the Liberty Bell Award from the Bay County BAR Association in 1999. Mary Ellen also was recognized by the Bay Area Women's Center for her volunteer work and was a big help to the United Way in Bay County. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and playing Bridge. Mary Ellen played a big part in many lives and inspired and guided many people she met during her career as a probation officer. To carry on her legacy, Mary Ellen leaves her husband, Andy Bibbee; siblings, Barbara (Nigel) Wirgowski, Robert Przybylski, David Przybylski; mother-in-law, Doris "Herbie" J. Bibbee; six sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; special friends, Kathy Dobrinski, Sue Glaza and Ruth Ostrander (sister-in-law), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Earl D. Bibbee. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at a later date with private interment at St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N.
