Michael Lynn Rushford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Michael Lynn Rushford, 61, of Gladwin, our simple, loving, and easy-going father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and most loyal friend passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region. Mike was born in Saginaw on February 29, 1960, the son of the late William J. and Grace (Peterson) Rushford. He was a graduate of Frankenmuth High School, Class of 1977. Those who knew Mike will forever remember his humorous personality and love of visiting and drinking with the locals, especially at the F.O.E. In his younger years, Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, and time spent outdoors. He was currently employed with Kirby Auto Auction, where he will be deeply missed. To know Mike was to love him. Above all, his three children were his pride and joy. Mike was always proud to speak to any and everyone about their accomplishments. Mike’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come. To carry on his legacy, Mike leaves behind his three children, Brandi (Mark) Goodman, Jessica (Nick) Lagalo, and Michael (Jessica) Rushford. He was the most loving grandpa of Ian, Hali, Grace, Aiden, Kassidy, Logan, and Lance, and the great-grandfather of Clementine. Also surviving are Mike’s siblings, Gary Rushford, Dale Rushford, Dave (Laura) Rushford, Neal (Heather) Rushford, and Denise (Chris) Rezler, along with many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Peggy Rushford. Mike’s family will be present to receive visitors on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 6:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N.
