Nancy Elizabeth (Kerbyson) Olson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nancy Elizabeth (Kerbyson) Olson, age 67, passed away peacefully at home with the love of her life, Wally, at her side on May 24, 2022 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Nancy was born to the late Gerald and Mary Kerbyson, a carpenter and RN, on August 12, 1954 in Cass City, Michigan. Nancy graduated from Cass City High School in 1972. She attended Michigan State University and graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1976 with a bachelor's degree in Nursing. She began her career as an RN at Hills and Dales General Hospital in Cass City. In 1978 she moved to Salt Lake City, UT and worked as an ICU/CCU RN at St. Mark’s Hospital. She started her own medical distributor company, Mountainside Medical, in Salt Lake City selling pacemakers. She met her husband, Wally, through selling Scanlan (St. Paul, MN) surgical instruments. She moved to Minnesota in 1987, where Nancy and Wally were married on May 14, 1988. She worked 20 years with Thoratec Corp. on their sales team selling high tech medical devices for heart failure patients awaiting heart transplant. Nancy was an avid reader, loved to golf and travel. Her favorite destination was Maui, Hawaii. Nancy is survived by her husband, Walter J Olson; sisters, Karen (Bill) Beyerlein of West Branch, MI, and Cathy (Al) Romig of Salt Lake City, UT; brothers, Ken Kerbyson of Lansing, MI, Paul Kerbyson of Bay City, MI, and Bob (Bridget) Kerbyson of Sanford, MI, and nephews and nieces, Bob Beyerlein and children, Adalyn and Jaylyn, Curt (Krystal) Beyerlein and children, Matthew and Nathan, Brian Douglas, Brittany Romig, Katie Romig, Jessica Kerbyson and Lukas Kerbyson. Nancy truly loved her family, friends and co-workers.
