Nancy Elaine Long

June 9, 1960 - April 15, 2022

Nancy Elaine Long, 61, of Saginaw Twp., formerly of Quanicassee, our loving and caring wife, mother, sister and friend passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at her home surrounded by family after a long battle of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) for five years. Nancy was born on June 9, 1960 in Bad Axe, the daughter of Ernest and Virginia (Lackowski) Watchowski. She graduated from Bad Axe High School with the class of 1978. Nancy and James Long met, fell in love and were united in marriage on August 11, 1990 in Hampton Township. She worked for GM UAW 699 for 30 years as the Suggestion Coordinator before her retirement. Nancy enjoyed camping with her family and gardening. She was very active with her children's school PTA, other school events, and frequently at the poll during elections. Nancy loved hosting her family and friends at home gatherings for all to enjoy and socialize. Left to cherish her memory, Nancy leaves her loving husband of 31 years, James Long; children, Melissa and Ryan Long; mother, Virginia Watchowski; siblings, Deb (Doug) Keyworth, Pam (Bob) Linton, Sharon Sweet, and Curt (Lynda) Watchowski; mother-in-law, Bonnie Johnson-Long; sisters-in-law, Sandy Curtis and Judy Anderson, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Watchowski, and her brother-in-law, Andy Anderson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and doctors at McLaren Hospice Group. Nancy's family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM until her 5:00 PM Memorial Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N.
