Richard Arthur Hollingsworth

August 6, 1962 - May 9, 2022

Richard "Rich" Arthur Hollingsworth, 59, of Bay City, our kind and loving son, brother, uncle and loyal friend was born into eternal life on Monday, May 9, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region. Rich was born on August 6, 1962 to William and Sharron (Hollingsworth) Kern in Caro. He graduated from the Michigan School for the Deaf in 1980. Rich struggled with Tourette Syndrome, but never let that keep him down. He was a member of North Euclid Church of God and Bay City and Saginaw Deaf Clubs. Rich loved to play video games and could be found bicycling all year long. He was the best uncle to 19 nieces and nephews, and was most happy when they were together. Rich was a vibrant soul and loved deeply. His caring ways will live on in the hearts of many for years to come. Leaving to carry on Rich's legacy are his parents, William "Bill" and Sharron Kern; siblings, William (Marianne) Keilitz, Matthew (Laura) Bigelow, Pamela (Angelita) Hill-Kern, and Shelia Kern; step-siblings, Michael (Colleen) Kern and Michelle (Robert) Sage; sister-in-law, Darlene Kern, and numerous nieces and nephews that were Rich's world. Rich was welcomed home to Heaven by his brother, Timothy Kern. Rich's family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Per Rich's wishes, cremation will follow. On Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM, a memorial ceremony will be held for Rich at North Euclid Church of God, 3430 N. Euclid Ave., Bay City.
