Ronald Chester Gasta
April 26, 1935 - December 7, 2020
Ron Gasta, 85, of Bay City, our inspirational, enthusiastic, encouraging, and most loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loyal friend was born into eternal life on Monday, December 7, 2020. Ron was born in Bay City on April 26, 1935, the son of the late Chester and Romaine (Stasinski) Gasta. Ron graduated from Bay City Central High School and attended Bay City Junior College. He proudly served in the National Guard as a medic and went on to meet the former Sandra Roth at a Y.W.C.A. dance in Bay City in 1960. Their love story of 60 years began and blessed them with three children and countless memories. Ron was a milk man for his family’s business, Gasta Dairy. His entrepreneurial spirit and persistent nature led him to begin with Amway Corporation for 55 years (1965-present), advancing his way to Diamond IBO. A faithful Catholic, Ron was a parishioner of All Saints Parish (St. Boniface Church) his whole life. He was an usher for 50 years, and the parish’s photographer. Ron’s passion was taking photos of the people he loved and of God’s beautiful scenery. He loved traveling with his wife, Sandy, traveling all around the beautiful State of Michigan, where he lived his whole life. Some other favorite vacation destinations included: Virgin Islands, Bahamas, California, Florida, and Peters Island. Ron especially enjoyed meeting new people and talking about their love of their business. He always shared inspirational messages with others. Ron’s love for others and kindness, along with his snazzy attire, made a lasting and unforgettable impression on all. The legacy Ron leaves behind is making a difference in the lives of all the people he met. He inspired others to make affirmations to achieve their goals. He always had a genuine compliment for others and recognized the best in people. He carried with him motivational messages that he passed on to those he loved and the new people he met wherever he went. Ron always ended every conversation with, “God loves you and so do we.” Ron leaves to carry on his legacy, his faithful wife, Sandy Gasta; children, Jeffrey Gasta of Virginia, Camilla (Joel) Stall of Virginia, and Amy (Ron) Feinauer of Owosso; grandchildren, Jacob, Easton, Garrett, and Noah Feinauer; Chandler and Alec Stall; siblings, Billy (Carol) Gasta, Gloria Devereux, and Michael Gasta; in-laws, Barbara (Jim) Fields, David (Deborah) Roth, Jackie (Kevin) McCarthy, along with many wonderful nieces, nephews, and close friends, who were like family. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alyssa Rose Feinauer; brother, Carl Gasta; sister, Delores Moellering, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold & Angeline Roth.
