Ronald George Schneider

November 2, 1938 - February 22, 2022

Ronald George Schneider, 83, of Linwood, our kind, generous and beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loving friend was born into eternal life on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born in Rose City, Michigan, on November 2, 1938, the son of George and Elizabeth (Schaefer) Schneider. He was a teacher and a long-time administrator in the Saginaw Public Schools. After retirement, he was the superintendent of the Charter Schools of Saginaw Valley College. Ronald served on many boards and foundations in the community. He had a passion for helping and promoting education for people, especially the handicapped. Ronald's biggest passion was loving and caring for his family and friends. He enjoyed living on the Bay and he enjoyed golfing, tennis, sailing, boating, traveling, and the Michigan State University Spartans. Ronald leaves to carry on his legacy, his loving wife of 60 years, Penelope Schneider; sons, Kurt (Sharon) Schneider and Bryce Schneider; granddaughter, Jessica (Eric) Brunsell; step-grandsons, Robert and Hunter; great-grandchildren, Brielyn, Brooklyn and Bretton Brunsell; three siblings, and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Schneider; grandson, Joshua, and one brother. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all his caregivers, especially Compassus Hospice, Sharon, Kurt, Jessica, and Fr. Dale Orlik. Ronald's family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10:00 AM until Ronald's 11:00 AM Memorial Liturgy at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine St., Essexville. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the West Branch High School Alumni Endowment Fund in the care of the Northeastern Community Foundation.
