Sherry Linn Harris-Fick Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sherry Linn Harris-Fick, 74, of Essexville, our loving, helpful, and most dependable wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and loyal friend passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region. Sherry was born in Bay City on March 9, 1948, the daughter of the late James and Charlotte (King) Madigan. She was a 1966 graduate of Bay City Central High School and went on to attend Delta College, obtaining her nursing degree. Sherry was a wonderful, compassionate, and knowledgeable nurse, retiring from what is now McLaren Bay Region in 1991. While her brother was getting new windows installed, her mother decided to play matchmaker and introduce her to the installer, Thomas Lee Fick. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on September 20, 1986, in the same place where they met, Sherry's brother, Marc's home. Their 35 years were blessed with countless memories. In Sherry's free time, she enjoyed photography and editing photos on the computer. She also enjoyed sewing and collecting materials, camping at Port Crescent, and loving on her pets. Her kind and loving ways will forever live on. To carry on her legacy, Sherry leaves her husband, Tom Fick; children, Daniel Harris and Lisa Rahm, and step-son, Jeremy (Jennifer) Fick. Sherry was the most loving and supportive "Gma" of Ainsley Rahm and will forever be missed by her brother, Michael (Carol) Madigan; nieces, Aimee Madigan and Tracey (Ryan) Fannin and their son, Briar, along with her in-laws, Diane, Debra, Beth, Ron, and Don. Also surviving are Sherry's beloved cats, Leo and Finn, and her dog, Eddie. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her brother, Marc Madigan. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. A Life Celebration will be held for Sherry at a later date.
