Susanne Monica Andreski

May 4, 1941 - March 4, 2022

Susanne "Sue" Monica Andreski, 80, of Bay City, formerly of Essexville, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, was born into eternal life on the evening of Friday, March 4, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region. Sue was born to the late Francis and Ida Berniece (Krohn) Hearsch on May 4, 1941 in Flint. Sue and Eugene "Yogi" Andreski were united in marriage on September 5, 1964 in Bad Axe. They raised their children in Essexville, where Sue worked as a nurse at Mercy and Bay Medical Center in the Labor and Delivery Unit. She moved on to work in the Bay Haven Substance Abuse Program. In 2006, she retired from West Campus while on the inpatient rehabilitation program. Sue was an avid traveler. She visited six of the seven continents of the world and loved to share the stories of her travels. Sue was always on the lookout for a good deal at garage sales and auctions. Between volunteering to style hair at Bay Medical Care Facility or running the ice cream machine at the Knights of Columbus Friday fish fries in Essexville, Sue always kept busy. She most recently took up and ecstatically won many games of BINGO at Country Meadows. Sue was an active parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish and an active member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary in Essexville. She will be remembered by many for her spirit, life of service and volunteerism, her Christmas light display at the corner of Hart and Borton every holiday season, and her Santa Claus collection that became a fixture in her home year-round. Sue leaves to carry on her legacy her children, Lori Peterson of Howell and Paul Andreski of Essexville; grandchildren, Craig Corcoran of Bay City, Tori (Kyle) Hanis of Galesburg, Tyler Peglow (Sara Robbins) of Bay City, Morgan (Ben) Gardner of Marquette, and Kathryn Peterson of Houghton; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Josie, Tyler Jr., Zane, Lauren, and Esme; siblings, Francis (Susan Chirco) Hearsch of Shelby Township, Mike (Arlene) Hearsch of Caseville, Elaine (Bob) Wiatr of Niantic, CT, David (Linda) Hearsch of Sandusky, and Grace Hearsch of Bad Axe. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her former husband, Eugene "Yogi", and brother, Richard. Sue's family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 10:00 AM until Sue’s 11:00 AM Memorial Liturgy at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine St., Essexville. Fr. Dale Orlik will preside. Per Sue's wishes, cremation has taken place. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
