March 19, 1983 - September 3, 2021
Thomas James “Tommy” Bromberg, 38, of Essexville, our personable, witty, and compassionate son, brother, soulmate, uncle, and loyal friend passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 3, 2021, due to an accidental drug overdose. Tommy was born in Saginaw on March 19, 1983, the son of Thomas John Bromberg and the former Karen Krause. He attended Essexville-Hampton Schools and went on to work as a manager for Hungry Howies in Freeland and Bridgeport. While with Hungry Howies, Tommy was a recipient of the Freeland Chamber of Commerce “Star Award.” His tender heart eventually led him to a position as a caregiver with Visiting Angels, a job he truly enjoyed. Tommy loved to sing and play the guitar. Always one to entertain others, his presence would light up the entire room. Tommy’s voice impersonations of cartoon characters and wrestlers were always a hit with his cherished nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed cooking for his family. Tommy fought many health issues, but his quick wit left a handprint on the hearts of others. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace. To carry on his legacy, Tommy leaves his father, Thomas (Paulette) Bromberg; mother, Karen Bromberg, and his soulmate and life partner, Kalum Meyers. He was the most loving brother of Etoy Porter, John Bromberg, and Keith Bromberg; step-brother of Kari Ann Newton, and will forever be missed by his nieces and nephews, who were the lights of his life: Sha'Quavia, Pashion, Lizzie, Layla, D’Angelo, Ira, Ezra, Tyler, Emily, Alex, and Abbie. Tommy is also survived by his aunt, Elaine Krause, along with many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, David Bromberg; maternal grandparents, James and Carolyn Krause and paternal grandparents, Frank and Eleanor Bromberg. Tommy's family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 2:00 PM until Tommy's 7:00 PM Life Celebration. Mrs. Sue Roznowski will preside with cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
