Wilfred "Fred" Kenneth Micho Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wilfred K. “Fred” Micho, 78, of Bay City, our fun, mischievous, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and Papa, brother, and uncle was born into eternal life on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at McLaren Bay Region, surrounded by his loving family. Fred was born in Bay City on October 23, 1943, the son of the late Arthur and Mildred (Heppner) Micho. While at a dance at The Wenonah Hotel, Fred met the former Rachel A. Swiecicki. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 13, 1963 in St. Joseph Church. Always a friendly fella and one to enjoy being out and about, Fred retired from what now is Cintas, where he drove truck for many years and enjoyed interacting with his many customers along his route. Throughout life, Fred was known for his meticulous lawn. He also enjoyed time spent on the family pontoon, fishing, road trips, camping at Lost Valley in Lupton, and family get-togethers. Fred was the rock of the family, always there for anyone in need. Always willing to fix anything for anyone; whether it was fixed right or not was another story. Above all, family always came first with Fred; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the lights of his life. To carry on his legacy, Fred leaves his faithful wife of 58 years, Rachel Micho and their children, Shelly (Dave) Walkowiak, Anthony (Cathy) Micho, and Brenda Micho and his grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole) Micho, Alyse (Steven) Yax, Sara (Dylan) Kukla, Alexis Micho, and A.J. Micho. Fred was the most loving great-grandfather and Papa of Jace Yax, Blake Micho, Kaiden Yax, and Alayna Kukla. Also surviving are his siblings, Jerry (Eileen) Micho, Gary (Judy) Micho, Janice (Lyle) Nielsen, and Kirby Micho; sister-in-law, Annette (Ken) Eilf; brother-in-law, Jerome (Barb) Swiecicki, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his son, Frederick Micho; brother, Sonny Micho; sister, Shirley (Jerry) Hill, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Geraldine Swiecicki. Fred’s family will be present to receive visitors on Sunday, June 19, 2022 from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 PM and again on Monday, June 20, 2022 from 9:00 AM until Fred’s 10:00 AM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Fr. Patrick C. O'Connor will preside. The Rite of Committal will be held privately in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
