We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.
Skorupski's began serving the community in 2013 and was founded on the belief that funeral and cremation care to our community is a vocation. After attending the funeral of his grandfather at the age of 12, Spencer A. Skorupski, CFSP, knew care to the bereaved was his calling in life. His humble beginning in funeral service began at the age of 14, where he began by washing cars and dusting caskets. A graduate of Western High School, Spencer also attended Delta College, where he completed his pre-requisite studies. He was privileged to complete his state required apprenticeship with two prestigious funeral and cremation providers, both Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris, Vassar and Fairgrove, along with Wasik Funeral Home in Warren and Shelby Township. Spencer then attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, where he received his Bachelor of Mortuary Science and served as class president. In addition to caring for Michigan families, Spencer has also served those in need in Terre Haute, Indiana, prior to returning home to own and operate Skorupski's.
A compassionate and forward thinking funeral director, Spencer has had the opportunity to work and learn under several dedicated professionals who have formed him into the competent and capable funeral director he is today. Spencer's meticulous attention to detail, coupled with his unparalleled dedication to those in need have comforted countless families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
No matter what your preferences, faith or financial circumstances may be, all are welcome at Skorupski's. Each and every family we serve is treated with the utmost dignity and respect at all times. We vow to assist you before, during and after the loss of your loved one to create a ceremony as unique as the life they lived. Through meaningful ceremonies, come healing. Through healing, families are able to begin to find comfort, peace and a new normal in their everyday lives.
